IDLG Organized the “Watandar” Gathering in Nimroz Province

Independent Directorate of Local Governance IDLG held the 1st “Watandar” conference in Nimroz province for two days. Participants from government authorities, women youth, CSOs and media outlets shared best practices, exchanged views & discussed ways to promote and consolidate good governance practices.

Mr. Pupal deputy minister to IDLG, in his welcome speech said that, IDLG is delighted to be hosting the conference and he hoped that the discussions would help governments and local government navigate towards the vision and achieving the targets being set for the good governance. He said that their implementation would be integrated into the country’s national vision and planning framework.

Over the course of the Nimroz conference, a diverse range of guest youths and thinkers offered their perspectives on the role of knowledge in community development. The first days’ speakers were led by PG and working groups developed plans and presented to the participants on the remaining days of the conference. The local administration thanked IDLG for bringing the conference to Nimroz and expressed his satisfaction that the community could come together to address the importance of knowledge and learning.
