Introduction of Local Council Law, Advocacy and Lobbing Guideline Conducted in Panjshir

Panjshir Oct 21, 2019 – Introduction of Local Council Law, Advocacy and Lobbing Guideline for provincial councils and civil society organizations workshop is taking place in bazarak, Panjshir province. This workshop is hosted by the Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) for 70 participants from Kapisa and Panjshir. To this workshop, which will last for one day, provincial authorities, relevant stakeholders and civil society activists have participated.

Sayeed Ahmad Khamosh head of Local Council Affairs, IDLG remarked his pleasure and appreciated for these initiatives that meet the essential needs of community councils, and added, “The aim of the guideline is provide the basic living standards, promote inclusive and sustainable growth, and contribute to the sustainable management and equality.

By implementation of the provincial council law, the legitimacy of the government will be strengthened. Mr. Khamoosh also mentioned that, this program aims to serve people and reduce the space between the people and the government and will create sense of accountability, transparency and equality in communities.
