The promotion of knowledge and enhance the capacity of district governors on basics of organizational affairs, collaborative management and practices, developing district management plan, types of natural crises, communications and coordination, rules, regulations, monitoring, and practical solutions to address the many challenges they face in district level are the main topics at a IDLG workshop held in the country’s capital of Kabul.
The second real opportunity for the Districts Governor provided by IDLG and Civil Services Commission where around 26 governors attended the two weeks event, including 16 provinces started on Saturday June 29, 2019.
According to the Manochehar Malikzada, director of the capacity building department of the IDLG, “The workshop is a welcome opportunity to hear directly from people representatives, and note that elements of the discussion would feed into the good rural governance in future.”
Wrapping up the workshop, Mr. Malikzada reiterated IDLG’s commitment to the promotion of good governance: “There is still a lot to do, and in coordination with district heads, relevant government departments and the international community, IDLG will continue its efforts to address the challenges.”
IDLG expects the workshop to be conducted for the next two weeks in order to cover the most key scheduled topics.
