A number of 200 underprivileged persons Sunday graduated from vocational training launched by the Department of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (DoLSAMD) in Hazrat Sultan district of Samangan.
Majority of them were unemployed, illiterate, returnees and widows whom received six months training in metal work, tailoring, repairing electrical appliances and installation of electricity system in buildings. They also received tools kits to support them in starting their own businesses and self-employment.
Deputy governor of Samangan Siffatullah Samangani and district governor of the Hazrat Sultan district awarded them graduation certificates.
The project, which cost more than 6 million Afghanis, was paid from the development budget of the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD).
